Couples Counseling
A space to reconnect through the mess, the meaning, and the moments in between.
Relationships can hold so much: love, tension, comfort, miscommunication, laughter, and pain, all at once. Even the strongest partnerships go through seasons of disconnection, tension, or silence. Sometimes love feels steady; sometimes it feels like you’re speaking two different languages.
At Coyote Counseling, we see those moments not as failures, but as invitations, signals that something in the relationship is asking for attention, honesty, or care. Couples counseling offers space to pause the noise, really listen, and begin to understand each other again.
Our Approach
Every couple comes in with their own rhythm, history, and hopes. We don’t take sides or hand out quick fixes. Instead, we work collaboratively to help you both slow down, notice patterns, and learn new ways of relating that feel more grounded and authentic.
We work with all types of relationships, including queer couples, polyamorous/CNM partnerships, and couples navigating cultural or identity differences.
We approach this work with respect, warmth, and a deep belief in the power of relational healing.
You might come to couples therapy to:
-
Repair after conflict or betrayal
-
Strengthen emotional or physical intimacy
-
Communicate more clearly and with less reactivity
-
Navigate life changes together (like parenting, loss, or big decisions)
-
Understand how past experiences impact your current dynamic
-
Explore nontraditional or evolving relationship structures
-
Learn how to fight less & connect more

When to Come In
You don’t have to wait until things are falling apart. Some couples come to strengthen what’s already working or to prepare for major transitions like moving in together, marriage, parenting, or career changes. Others come after years of frustration or silence, unsure what’s next. Wherever you are, therapy offers a place to get curious about what’s possible.
