A Bit About Me
Life can feel heavy, confusing, or overwhelming at times. We all move through seasons when emotions are harder to understand, relationships feel complicated, or the path forward isn’t as clear as we’d like it to be. You may be navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD, a life transition, or relationship challenges—or simply finding yourself asking deeper questions about who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to live. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, feel understood, and make sense of the patterns, experiences, and expectations that have shaped you.
My approach to therapy is grounded, collaborative, and curious. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy, while also incorporating trauma-informed, identity-affirming, strengths-based, and attachment-based perspectives. I believe therapy involves both understanding and action: making sense of where you’ve been and why you respond the way you do, while also developing the insight and practical tools to move through life differently. My hope is that our work helps you feel more grounded in yourself, more connected to what matters, and better equipped to navigate whatever comes next.
My own background has shaped the way I think about growth, identity, and resilience. As a former student-athlete with a background in sociology and philosophy, I have been drawn to questions about the ways people are shaped by their relationships, communities, expectations, and the roles they take on—and in the questions we all encounter about purpose, meaning, and what makes a life feel worthwhile. Those perspectives continue to influence the way I work with clients, particularly those navigating expectations, responsibilities, identity, and major transitions.
I also work with couples who feel caught in patterns of conflict, distance, or misunderstanding. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based approaches, CBT, and the Gottman Method, I help partners look beneath the surface of conflict to better understand the needs, emotions, and patterns that shape their relationship. Together, we can work toward more open communication, greater emotional safety, and a deeper sense of connection.
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves someone in their corner—someone who will listen deeply, offer an honest perspective, and help them see themselves and their lives with greater clarity and compassion. I also believe life is more than the problems we are trying to solve. There is room for growth, connection, humor, curiosity, and joy alongside the difficult parts. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, trying to change a long-standing pattern, navigating a new chapter, or hoping to strengthen a relationship, I will meet you where you are and help you move toward a life that feels more intentional and meaningful.
